Date Night at Home Recipes  (2024)

Staying tight as a couple is important, and there’s a lot of advice out there on how to do it. Of course, there’s no perfect answer–but I’d say spending time with each other is a pretty crucial component. Ha. But if time is short or you can’t make it out of the house for some quality time, then a date night at home might be the ticket! And if you decide you want to cook instead of getting takeout (you’re better than me) but also…here are some great macro-friendly date night at-home recipes for you to try!

#1 Korean Beef Bowl

Date Night at Home Recipes (1)

This Korean Beef Bowl is quick, easy, and delicious! It’s great for those nights when you’re short on time, but still want something that’s light and filling. And like most bowls, everyone can build their own according to their personal preferences.

With the dinner being so quick to make that leaves even more time to make dessert! My entire family loves these brownies–super simple to make but definitely NOT macro-friendly. Of course, if you have some fitness goals you want to meet but still want a sweet treat, you might enjoy these macro-friendly Microwave Brownie Zucchini Oats.

And while these brownie zucchini oats are definitely not a real brownie (because no fat or sugar), they still taste pretty good with some whipped cream, nut butter, and bananas on top. I mean I’m obsessed. But I’m also into this stuff. Proceed with caution for your partner. Haha.

#2 Bacon Cheeseburger with Secret Sauce

Date Night at Home Recipes (3)

If you’re looking for a delicious burger but don’t want to spend all your macros on a restaurant burger, make this yummy Bacon Turkey Cheeseburger from the blog. With way fewer calories than a traditional burger, this one is EASY to fit into a date night meal with some room for these carrot fries on the side. Delicious.

Of course, I have several other burger recipes on the blog including the Peach and Goat Cheese Burger and this Fig and Blue Cheese Turkey Burger, (my personal FAVORITE) so you can choose your favorite.

Now that you have the food figured out, you can spend time planning what you want to do! Maybe you want to spend it watching a movie cuddled up, or if you want to have other couples over, you can have burgers and a game night. If you need some fun game ideas, here are some family-friendly games that my family really enjoys.

#3 Macro-Friendly Soups

Date Night at Home Recipes (4)

If it’s cold outside, then soup is the PERFECT date night dinner. Because nothing beats cuddling up on the couch with a warm bowl of cozy soup and your favorite soft blanket. At our house, it’s always the Lola blanket. The BEST.

And when it comes to choosing a soup, I have several on the blog and in my cookbook ONE. Some favorites are Enchilada Soup (recipe in ONE) or this Lemony Chicken Soup from the blog. Of course, if you search “Lillie Eats and Tells Macro-friendly Soup” you’re sure to have a lot of options pop up to choose from.

If you’re short on time, you can even make the soup ahead of time to be able to maximize your time for doing something fun together! Watch me make the Lemony Chicken Soup from start to finish here. If only you could smell it through the screen–yum!
