Chelsea 1-1 Borussia Dortmund: Mason Burstow nets last-gasp equaliser
Academy starlet Mason Burstow made sure that Chelsea ended their pre-season tour unbeaten with his first senior goal against Borussia Dortmund.
FULL-TIME: Chelsea 1-1 Dortmund
Burstow, a homegrown striker, gets his first senior goal in blue not in competitive play, but on no small stage.
But Dortmund are looking to spoil the party, surging forward before being rebuffed, and tensions are high as Cucurella tussles on the sidelines with Bamba briefly ahead of a Chelsea throw.
Enzo has the last chance of the game, an attempt that flies straight to Meyer. The whistle blows shortly after - Chelsea and Dortmund's unbeaten pre-seasons continue.
GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Dortmund
Chelsea win a freekick from 20 yards out, which Mudryk steps up to take. The ball pops into the area and pop, pop, pops from head to head on the edge of the six-yard box.
Youth starlet Mason Burstow, only on for eight minutes, has the final denoument, and the Blues equalise!
84 mins: Chelsea 0-1 Dortmund
This could prove a sticky end for the west London outfit - there was very little between the two sides, but Chelsea had the all-important momentum for much of the half. An equaliser however feels someway off.
Mudryk has an attempt from the left off an unfavourable angle that doesn't trouble Meyer too much. But within a moment, Dortmund are sprinting to the other end of the pitch, buoyed up by their goal...
GOAL! Chelsea 0-1 Dortmund
Cucurella digs himself both in and out of a hole after handing the ball to Brandt for the German forward to shimmy forward and fire at goal. The defender's blushes are saved by his own quick feet and the assistance of Gusto.
But Dortmund win a corner, and this time, they pull no punches - Wolf volleys the ball at close range after being fed from the D, and Kepa can't contort himself to make the save!
76 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Immediate impact from Cucurella and Maatsen, who combine with great effect down the right. Cucurella's cross finds the youth prospect, but his attempt flies wide.
Jackson is the next to make an attempt, looking to steal a march on Dortmund as he scythes through the pack in a one-man counter attack, but he's smothered on the edge of the box.
73 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Chance for Chelsea! Mudryk powers the inswinging ball from Chilwell's second corner at Meyer's goal, but his attempt lacks accuracy, and flies out of play for a goal kick.
More Dortmund subs coming up: here comes Nmecha, Can and Bueno, on for Ozcan, Reus, and Bensebaini.
And some initial changes for Chelsea: Cucurella and Gusto come on for Chilwell and James, and Maatsen and Humphreys join in on the fun too.
70 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
A punchy challenge from Sterling on Brandt sees the England star snatch the ball in Dortmund's half and whisk upfield. He passes to Enzo, but Chelsea can't usher the ball much further forward, preferring to wait for an opportune route through.
Mudryk again turns on the after-burners, and wins Chelsea a corner with a blocked-out cross.
66 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Mudryk is looking flashy again, showing off his unmatched pace, and filling fans with the less-and-less faint hope that Pochettino might be able to draw out his best after a difficult first season.
62 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
More changes for Dortmund: Haller, Papadopoulous, and Wolf come on for Moukoko, Sule, and Ryerson.
61 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Jackson has the ball stuck to his feet like it's glued to his boots as he battles with Sule on the dead ball line until he topples to the ground.
As Dortmund look to get away in Chelsea's half, their harum-scarum attack is brought to a halt by a hefty challenge from Ozcan in a bid to keep posssession, which hands the Dortmund player his side's first yellow.
57 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Chilwell and Mudryk skitter up the left, before the Ukrainian unleashes his intense speed and blazes into the box. He cuts a clever pass to Chilwell on the run into the box, and he almost forces Ryerson into an own goal, the ball glancing off the post for a corner.
Chelsea have the lion's share of the chances now, as Sterling streaks in from the right to set up yet another assault on the Dortmund defences.
54 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Jackson continues to thrill, as he rounds the box to collect a good-looking pass from Sterling. Unable to get his shot off, however, his effort finds Meyer's glove with little concern.
What a miss from Chelsea! Excellent build-up play from Chukwuemeka combining coolly with Sterling high up on the right. The young forward passes to Jackson in the box, and springs in to receive his pass when the striker unselfishly sends it his way. Although at close range, it's a routine save for Meyer.
51 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Chelsea look to steady the ship with a spell of possession, and Mudryk looks to test Dortmund defences on the right. A long throw from Brandt, however, goes diagonal to a running Ryerson, who eyes the Chelsea box.
Dortmund can't beat Chelsea in the final third, as things stand. Hazard is the latest to try, but his curving effort is blocked out by the strong centre-back pairing of Silva and Colwill.
47 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Dortmund come steaming out of the gates, with Bamba immediately threatening in the penalty area. Only a superb display under pressure from Levi Colwill stops the Bundesliga side from sprinting ahead.
Second-half: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Here come the players - for Chelsea's final 45 minutes before the start of the season.
Some changes from Dortmund: Bamba on for Malen, and Hazard and Brandt come on too.
KATHRYN BATTE: Lethal Lauren James is every defender's nightmare - and she's living up to her 'cheat code' nickname at the Women's World Cup
Two goals - right foot, left foot. Three assists - right foot, left foot, header.Lauren James can do it all.
As Emma Hayes, herChelseamanager, said on commentary: ‘We are witnessing brilliance.’
Even England bossSarina Wiegman, who usually refuses to talk about individual performances, said James does ‘special things’ on the pitch.

KATHRYN BATTE: Lethal Lauren James is every defender's nightmare
KATHRYN BATTE: Even England boss Sarina Wiegman, who usually refuses to talk about individual performances, said James does 'special things' on the pitch.
HALF-TIME: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
James picks up the first yellow card of the match as he bulldozes Bensebaini on the right. The player stays down, which feels justified: that challenge was more Champions League, less pre-season.
The whistle blows and both sets of players head into the dressing room level. It's been quite an unshowy half, with Chelsea in possession of the brighter efforts, but neither really deserving of a lead.
Nkunku's exit will linger on fans' minds, however...
45 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Sabitzer aims a missile towards Kepa's goal just off the D, raising his leg in a high kick to leather the ball in - but the shot strikes a Chelsea defender instead. A hefty challenge on Gallagher scrapping for the remains hands possession back to the Blues.
Three added minutes to see out the half.
42 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Mudryk and Chilwell again combine neatly on the left, carving a path towards the Dortmund goal, before setting up Enzo midway into their opponent's half.
The World Cup winner skitters the ball to Sterling on the right, who waltzes into the box at pace and bullets a shot at Meyer... only for the ball to slide just left of the far post.
Moments later, Jackson breaks free and sets up his own attempt, collecting a thoughtful long-ball from Silva on the run to strike just wide. The striker tears at his shirt in frustration at the miss - but Chelsea are looking lively now.
37 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Chilwell sprints down the left as he looks to get on the end of a whipped ball from Gallagher at the corner. He fires it to Meyer at a too-tight angle, but wins a corner - which the keeper springs off his line to catch adroitly.
34 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Adeyemi tests James, as Chelsea try and battle their way out of their own half. Flipping things over to the left, Chilwell attempts to shimmy the ball forward, before finding Enzo.
Chelsea are taking their time here as they prepare to mount an attack, whilst Dortmund buzz closer and closer. As Mudryk looks to shake things up and rocket up the pitch, he's overturned by Ryerson. Freekick to Chelsea.
30 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
A bit of a momentum shift here, with Chelsea's defenders under-pressure as the Bundesliga side look increasingly confident after Chelsea's reshuffle.
There's a welcome break in play just before the half-an-hour mark for refreshments: it's a scarcely-believable (for the English) 27 degrees at Soldier Field this evening.
A word from Mail Sport's Adrian Kajumba
A worry for Chelsea here at Soldier Field halfway through the first half with Christopher Nkunku forced off, seemingly feeling his left knee. Was unclear exactly how he got injured with replays returning to an earlier incident when he was brought down and should have got a penalty. Avoiding any injuries this close to the season would have been very high on the list of priorities for Chelsea tonight.
22 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Now this is a concern...
Nkunku goes down with what looks like a knee injury, as the physios sprint onto the pitch to give him immediate treatment. The Frenchman was out for a significant spell with a torn knee ligament last season, and Chelsea are likely to err on the side of caution.
He comes off for Mudryk.
19 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
New recruit Sabitzer sprays a clever diagonal ball to a sprinting Ryerson on the right, which he crosses to Malen. Only a leaping James shuts down a bright Dortmund moment, but they have a corner here to try and build on the budding attack.
Colwill, however, has other plans, and pulls off a block to send the ball leaping to the far side. Although Dortmund retain possession for a spell, Chelsea lock up, and win a throw-in deep in their own half to snatch control back.
16 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Dortmund have had little joy getting out of their own half, and Chelsea deny them the opportunity yet again as Gallagher wins a throw-in just inside his half.
Chelsea paddle the ball around between the defenders, carefully measuring the game's tempo, before plotting another run. Jackson picks up the ball in the centre circle and storms into the box, only to find himself isolated and mired in yellow shirts.
12 min: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
A strong few minutes from Chelsea, which sees Gallagher force play up the pitch on the right to win Chelsea their first corner.
Chilwell wafts the ball in from the right to Silva, who skims it off his crown towards the far post. Colwill almost buries it - but his header loops just over the crossbar.
9 mins: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Chelsea skitter the ball back to Kepa as Dortmund flood forward, and Silva tries to steer his pass to James, but the defender is instantly swarmed. Dortmund win a high throw-in that allows the side to threaten, but their attempt leaps out past the dead ball line and Chelsea win the goal kick.
Jackson is immedaitely off to the races, slaloming through the centre of the pitch to from the left, in an attempt to set up Nkunku. He can't get close with the first attempt, but Jackson muddles the ball through the box a second time, and Nkunku fires his effort to force a heroic close range stop from Meyer.
Nkunku and Jackson have been quick to show off their compatibility in pre-season - they give Chelsea the first clear-cut chance of the match again here in Chicago.
5 min: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
James goes down cringing after a heavy tackle, but he's up and shaking himself off within a few moments to send in throw-in. Injury to the star right-back is an idea no Blues fan would want to entertain, after last season's stop-start fitness challenges.
The surface is giving some of the players a little trouble already - slipping and sliding as they bid for control. There's not a huge amount of that from either side of yet, with things looking scrappy at both ends.
2 min: Chelsea 0-0 Dortmund
Chelsea immediately go marauding into Dortmund's territory, but lose the ball early with a full-throated challenge from Sterling.
Gallagher wins a freekick to disrupt Dortmund's posession, just over the halfway line. The German side haven't been given much space to work their way out of their own half, and Chelsea can gain ground again here.
The players stream out of the tunnel given a guard of honour by a row of aggressively-puffing smoke machines. A strong Chelsea contingent here, waving blue flags merrily along to the Liquidator, which seagues in the national anthem.
Pre-match proceedings completed, flags are exchanged: and it's Reece James who sports the armband again this evening.
Chelsea start us off, with Jackson doing the honours - let's go!
Just over five minutes to go...
The players are off the field after completing their warm-ups, and primed to return in front of a healthy-looking crowd in Chicago.
Can Chelsea hand Dortmund another disappointment, five months on from knocking them out of the Champions League round of 16? Or will Terzic burst Chelsea's hopeful pre-season bubble?
Chelsea are looking to swap wantaway forward Romelu Lukaku with Juventus hitman Dusan Vlahovic
Chelseahave been one of England's most successful clubs over the past two decades, but have spent more than half that time desperately searching for a world-class striker.
Didier Drogba was an undoubted success, winning four Premier League titles and the Champions League during his nine years at the club across two separate spells.
But aside from the Ivorian, there have been far more misses than hits. Names such as Fernando Torres,Falcao,Gonzalo HiguainandAlvaro Moratado not bring back many happy memories for Blues fans.

Nicolas Jackson and Nkunku could flourish in attack for Chelsea
ADRIAN KAJUMBA: Nicolas Jackson has two goals in four games in the US, while Christopher Nkunku has three in four - more than decent returns for the two forwards.
With 90 minutes left for pre-season tinkering taken into account, could tonight's line-up be the one that stares down Liverpool 11 days from now?
The Chelsea players make their way onto the pitch now to begin their warm-ups with just over half-an-hour to go. An interesting wrinkle - no captain named yet for the Blues.
Both Silva and James have been on duty during the tour, but with Azpileccueta now plying his trade in Serie A, a vacancy for the armband permanently has emerged, with no word yet on how it might be filled.
Silva feels the obvious choice, and he sported it for large swathes of their last campaign as the club captain lingered on the sidelines. But James' time with the armband will undoubtedly come in due course.

Pre-season so far
Mauricio Pochettino has had a charmed start to life at Stamford Bridge - in spirit - steering the Blues through a run without loss on the road in the US. Wins against Brighton, Wrexham, and Fulham, as well as a cagey draw against Newcastle will have put players in a significantly better mood than they would have been in at the calamitous end of last season.
Strong showings from newbies such as Christopher Nkunku and Nicholas Jackson, and the stirrings of Mykhailo Mudryk's pre-signing form have also got the Argentine's reign off to a promising start.
But Borussia Dortmund will be looking to put a bad taste in the mouth ahead of Chelsea's season opener against Liverpool next weekend. The Bundesliga side have had a similarly unblemished summer, including one barnstorming win against Manchester United.
One Premier League trophy down, etc
Some reassuring news for Blues fans ahead of kick-off: Levi Colwill signs six-year deal with Chelsea, as the Blues fend off interest from Liverpool and Brighton
Levi Colwill promised Chelsea fans they 'are going to love this season' after committing his long-term future to the club
The highly-rated England under-21 defender is now tied to Chelsea up to 2030 after signing a six-year deal which contains a 12 month option and is worth over £100,000-per-week.
Colwill spent last season on loan at Brighton who were desperate to sign him permanently but he insisted staying at his boyhood club following talks with new head coach Mauricio Pochettino was an easy decision.

Not-so smooth going in Chicago
